FACTS MISSING FROM LARRY GREEN’S MEDICAL RECORDS, ALTHOUGH  THE INFORMATION WAS SHARED, FREELY, WITH EACH MEDICAL PROVIDER; THIS BEING THE FIRST SUMMARY SENT TO LARRY’S ATTORNEYS

  1. When Larry drove himself to the hospital after he broke his ankle, in three places and dislocated it, his Blood Pressure was high; obviously because of trauma. We know this because Larry has never had high Blood Pressure except either under trauma or the White Coat Syndrome. He had had a physical just a couple months earlier for employment, so what is stated here is true; it was proven then. Why hasn’t anyone requested these documents? Larry had both nerves and trauma going with his ankle as he was in a lot of pain. Dr. Kahn Farooqi asked about Larry’s Blood Pressure and seemed to understand the cause for it being high that day. In fact he agreed. He gave Larry something in an IV to bring his Blood Pressure down for surgery. As I understood at the time, Dr. Kahn Farooqi only did surgery on Wednesdays, so this is why the surgery was postponed until then.
  • About three days later Larry had surgery; after having an EKG at Grand River Health, in Rifle, Co, which came out normal; but he was given something for his high Blood Pressure during surgery; he was still in trauma and a lot of pain. Dr. Kahn Farooqi agreed Larry’s high Blood Pressure was because of the accident he’d had.
  •  A WEEK LATER (SEVEN or EIGHT DAYS) Dr. Kahn Farooqi took Larry’s stitches out claiming, “You are making me look good” referring to Larry’s very fast healing. Larry’s Blood Pressure was a lot better that day as I recall.
  • Over the weekend, after Larry’s stitches were removed, Larry’s incision opened by three inches long and an inch wide. Larry called Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s office and was told to come in for an evaluation right away.  After an examination Larry was put on a WOUND VAC, which ended up being for a good three months, (although Larry’s records often show the wrong dates) while experiencing mishap after mishap; mostly because of medical providers not doing their jobs properly. Larry started to experience a lot of pain again, while his Blood Pressure went up again. Dr. Kahn Farooqi blamed Larry for his elevated Blood Pressure; not once did he look to see if there was something going on in his ankle causing his Blood Pressure to spike. To me a wound where one can see the bone would cause Blood Pressure to rise, from trauma and pain, and since Larry had no history of high Blood Pressure, which of course Dr. Kahn Farooqi was aware of, he should have investigated. But he didn’t and in fact his great bedside manner once displayed had turned to anger and criticism.
  • Larry was sent to Katie McManus PT at the Aspen Valley Hospital by Dr. Kahn Farooqi to retain his first Wound Vac; it was clear to us that she, Katie McManus PT, had never put a Wound Vac on anyone in her life, as she openly read directions while proceeding. The next week Larry went to Grand River Health, in Rifle, Co to have the Wound Vac dressings changed. The nurse’s name was Roxy, is all we recall, and she’s interestingly not mentioned in the Corvel Insurance Company’s list of health providers. She was totally aghast at the way Larry’s Wound Vac was applied and concerned that Larry’s ankle was wrapped too loosely, as his wound was opening up more. She immediately called Dr. Kahn Farooqi.
  • Larry saw Roxy two or three more times for dressing changes, then he was transferred to Amber Jo Graby, DPT at Grand River Health, in Rifle, Co for wound changes. She too remarked on Larry’s Blood Pressure being high, as we told her why we thought it was such; pain and the white coat syndrome. It was all we could come up with based on what we knew of Larry’s medical history, and Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s lack of interest in evaluating further. Amber did ask if Larry’s ankle hurt and over the months he saw Amber for dressing changes on his Wound Vac, he always said, “YES”.
  • By this time, whenever Larry went to see Dr. Kahn Faarooqi, his nurses would take his Blood Pressure wrong, as if it were planned to make Larry’s Blood Pressure high. By this time, Larry and I had done extensive research through the Mayo Clinic , and The American Heart Association, about obtaining proper Blood Pressure readings. So this is how we knew what was not being done properly. Once the Wound Vac came off, about three months into Larry’s healing from an, OPEN BONE SHOWING WOUND, and an extra three months into his ankle healing from surgery, Dr. Kahn Farooqi gave Larry a prescription to join a gym for swimming, after being completely dormant in a chair for an extra three months than is normal for healing ankle surgery. I mean it’s common for airline stewardess’ to get Blood Clots from sitting on planes all the time, so why wouldn’t Larry’s extra months sitting in a chair because of Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s malpractice cause the same? Corvel Insurance Company spent months deciding what gym they would pay for and never got around to securing this membership for Larry; we’re talking a $50.00 a month membership. Larry was going to Physical Therapy with Amber Jo Graby, DPT, two days a week, while his ankle continued to bother him, and though his Blood Pressure was not always high, it sure wasn’t normal. Dr. Kahn Farooqi was now threatening Larry with, “You’re going to have a stroke if you don’t do something about your Blood Pressure.” However, in spite of this both Larry and I could see Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s nurses were manically taking Larry’s Blood Pressure readings, using no precaution in how they did this at all and creating chaos, as if they were purposely wanting Larry’s Blood Pressure to remain high. Amber was no longer taking Larry’s Blood Pressure.
  • Then during what would become the last appointment Larry had with Dr. Kahn Farooqi, (I believe June, 27, 2019) after his usual X-ray, Larry and I witnessed a strange occurrence out in the hallway of the exam room we were in, (someone had accidently left the door open); the X-ray technician seemed to be in great distress, while secretly motioning to Dr. Kahn Farooqi that he come look at the X-ray he had in his hands. Moments later Dr. Kahn Farooqi was sitting in front of Larry and myself with his computer open to Larry’s X-ray, as he explained that the SIX INCH, UNATTACHED, BONE FRAGMENT floating around in Larry’s X-ray was no problem, but that Larry should go to emergency to address his high Blood Pressure, as now two nurses were summoned to throw cuffs on Larry’s two separate arms simultaneously to get more Blood Pressure readings which were so high this time, that if true, Larry would be dead. We were escorted out of Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s office by the X-ray technician; a first in all the months Larry was under Dr. Farooqi’s care. We thought this a sign meaning something, but knew that Larry’s Blood Pressure readings were being contrived and really had no idea of what to do next? We wondered how a SIX INCH UNATTACHED BONE FRAGMENT meant nothing, and why Dr. Kahn Farooqi, Larry’s  own surgeon, was trying to pass him off to the ER? Why wasn’t he addressing Larry’s problem? We just knew Dr. Kahn Farooqi was now hiding something, and he was fabricating Blood Pressure readings, as he yelled at Larry when we went out the door, “Go to the ER because you are going to have a stroke!” In other words, “Get in the car, drive the freeway to the hospital up to a half hour away and let the ER handle your ankle even though I’m the main Orthopedic here in Aspen Valley Hospital.”  All we had was Larry’s minimal Workman Comp monthly payments, my SS and no other income. We’d learned from Larry’s insurance doctor, Dr. David Lorah that Workman’s Comp will not take care of Blood Pressure issues, and they certainly weren’t going to question Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s expertise on ankles. We had no other insurance and very little money. Why would anyone go to the ER when they would obviously support Farooqi no matter what, and he was lying, and we’d end up with a huge bill we couldn’t afford to pay. We had no primary care doctor, other than Dr. Lorah the insurance doctor, as we were very new in the area. We knew Dr. Kahn Farooqi was fabricating Larry’s Blood Pressure readings, we had lost all trust in him, could see he was a liar, so we rested our faith in this and vowed to talk to Dr. Lorah at Larry’s next appointment coming up within days.  We would talk to him about the floating bone in Larry’s X-Ray, which we saw with our own eyes. (At that time Dr. Lorah could care less about all this obvious malpractice, he didn’t care about the floating bone, but in time stated in writing that Larry’s stroke was caused by his ankle)
  • We took Larry’s BP at home and it was relatively normal; 130/83. A tad high but Larry was still dealing with inactivity, and ankle pain Dr. Kahn Farooqi arrogantly refused to address. Later (a month and a half later after Larry’s last appointment with Dr. Kahn Farooqi) while seeing Amber Jo Graby DPT as Larry always had twice a week; he told her his ankle was really hurting, actually as it always had since surgery; on this day worse than ever.
  1. ; Amber wrote it down; to our knowledge did not call Dr. Kahn Farooqi, but proceeded to have Larry do very aggressive ankle sit- ups on a box for the first time ever during Larry’s recovery. A day later in the early evening Larry experienced a violent pain shoot up his right leg, while his ability to use his right arm or leg was obvious. I was in the middle of making a tuna sandwich , which I immediately abandoned, to run downstairs, in the motel we were in, asking the person at the front desk to call an ambulance.
  1.  About an hour later, while in Grand Valley Health in Rifle, Larry lost the ability to move his right arm and right leg. Totally. Not one physician addressed Larry’s ankle, or the recent surgery he’d had, in spite of my telling the doctors and nurses what had occurred that caused me to call an ambulance, which was the horrific pain that shot up Larry’s right calf, right above his ankle which he had broken and had surgery performed by Dr. Kahn Farooqi at Aspen Valley Hospital. They weren’t even interested in contacting Dr. Kahn Farooqi, or retaining medical records from him. They didn’t seem at all concerned when I told them Larry had a SIX INCH BONE FRAGMENT floating about in his ankle, UNATTACHED. Instead the doctor’s started treating Larry for heart problems and a stroke. I wondered why doctors ask questions of the patient or family member about patient, and then IGNORE what they are told? They don’t even take medical tests to see if the information is viable and accurate? They just dismiss it! They dismiss it as Dr. Kahn Farooqi dismissed the medical questionnaire I filled out for Larry when he broke his ankle; the information I provided should have caused Dr. Kahn Farooqi to put Larry on a blood thinner AFTER SURGERY for a time because Larry has, in the past, broken a number of bones in his right leg; Aspirin could have easily saved Larry from a Blood Clot.
  1.  Larry remained in Grand River Health, in Rifle, Colorado for about a week, paralyzed on the right side, as the doctors treated him for heart problems; completely ignoring the surgery on his ankle, or the pain he’d experienced shooting up his right calf; pain he said was worse than breaking and dislocating his ankle. The doctor’s avoided my questions about, “When are you going to address Larry’s ankle and what’s going on inside? We saw a detached bone floating around in his ankle in the last X-ray.” I was rudely ignored; Larry was too out of it on heavy-duty drugs Dr. Knerl put him on for his heart to know what was happening. There was one doctor, Dr. Michael Duehrssen, an ER doctor, observing Larry when he came into ER, who actually made some sense in his evaluation saying, “ I see by the scan of Larry’s neck that he has a healed over calcification from a very old injury, other than this his neck is clear.” But with Dr. Duehrssen’s first common sense opinion, which leaned towards what I had told him about Larry having a Blood Clot, I watched him leave for the evening, while Larry ended up with Dr. Knerl who took no value in what Dr. Duehrssen observed. I saw and felt the signs of protecting Dr. Kahn Farooqi at this point. I learned a year later that Larry could have been flown to St. Mary’s in Grand Junction, with time to spare, for a drug, TPA, to stop his stroke. Of course Grand River Heath never mentioned the opportunity.
  1.  Larry was then sent to E. Dene Moore Care Center for the elderly in Rifle, Colorado; supposedly for rehab. Larry’s prescribed doctor was Dr. Peter Schaiberger, who put Larry on more heart medications and REFUSED to speak to me or answer my questions. The nurses left Larry in his own soiled underwear for hours, after Larry would call for assistance to go to the bathroom. They didn’t shower Larry sometimes for up to five days or more, and he was lucky to receive two days of physical therapy a week, up against everything I was learning about strokes, and that is PT must start immediately and aggressively in order to be effective; less than two days a week left Larry sitting like an elderly victim of elder abuse, in his own waste, and he isn’t old. Additionally the nurses were taking Larry’s Blood Pressure readings as he ate meals at a table chatting away with six other patients. I felt purposely orchestrated to make Larry’s BP high, and asked the staff of nurses about this procedure?  My complaints went nowhere concerning Larry’s care so after two months, and Larry’s contacting of a horrible rash on his arm, I checked him out of there against an army, in my opinion, of incompetent medical people threatening both Larry and myself.
  1.  Dr. Peter Schaiberger and Roxy, (I have no last name for her) are, so far, just two medical advisors NOT LISTED on Corvel Insurance Company’s list of medical providers for Larry. Added to this Larry was seeing his insurance doctor, Dr. David Lorah, once a month, since he’d broken his ankle, who also refused to address Larry’s ankle. I called this as it appeared, “These medical people act like Larry has no ankle.” This is how hard they worked to avoid the obvious. Larry had a Blood Clot that traveled up his right leg, through a hole in his heart, which didn’t close up from birth, which Larry wasn’t aware, and landed in the left side of his brain, causing a stroke.
  1.  This fact was confirmed by Dr. Frank A. Laws, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Co; another medical care provider NOT mentioned on Corvel Insurance Company’s list of doctors Larry has seen, in spite of the fact they have all Dr. Law’s written evaluations. Dr. Law’s did both a scan of Larry’s leg looking for current Blood Clots and had him on a heart monitor for a week.  There was no current Blood Clot and Larry’s heart monitor came off with no events. Dr. Law’s confirmed this in writing and also agreed in writing, Larry had a previous Blood Clot in his leg that caused the stroke. However I remained very concerned knowing that Larry’s last X-ray at Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s showed this SIX INCH BONE FRAGMENT, UNATTACHED, floating around inside Larry’s ankle. Dr. Laws didn’t care about this.  Conveniently Dr. Laws is not on Corvel Insurance Company’s list of doctors Larry saw. Although once Larry made this clear to his attorney, Scott Ash, of Boesen Law, he was told it didn’t matter.
  1.  Once Larry came home with me, last October 2019, I became his only caregiver. And still more so after Dr. Schaiberger dropped Larry’s Blood Pressure medication, Metoprolol, by 175 milligrams, medication Larry didn’t need in the first place, and one which was prescribed at a higher milligram than any human should ever take so we’ve learned in retrospect; 200 milligrams, without even mentioning this fact of lowering it to Larry or myself. This act could have easily caused Larry to have a DRUG INDUCED STROKE! He also prescribed Thyroid medication for Larry while never performing the proper tests. THIS TOO HAS SIDE EFFECTS THAT CAUSE STROKE! We wondered if Dr. Schaiberger was trying to kill Larry? Needless to say Larry didn’t go back to this incompetent doctor. We then slowly removed Larry from all the heart medications he had been wrongly prescribed as we checked his Blood Pressure with our own monitor. Larry remained on Plavix until his rash covered his whole body, and not one of his doctor’s would help him. Larry’s rash continued from October 2019, when he arrived home, well into June 2020. We never could get him into a new doctor, such as a dermatologist, because of Covid-19. Larry had to stop swimming at rehab because of his horrific rash. Dr. Lorah finally, RELUCTANTLY, gave Larry a prescription for Cortisone, and his rash went away slowly.
  1.  Sometime around this same time, Larry saw Dr. Omar Mubarak, a vascular specialist in Denver who took a three-hour in depth scan of Larry’s right leg. He proved with this scan, Larry indeed had several Blood Clots; in fact as he wrote in his first report,” He no longer needs to be on any anticoagulation as the clots have been present for several months, and he was never on blood thinner. Dr. Mubarak found as merely one issue that two main veins were piggybacked, most likely a cause of surgery from so much hardware taking up room in Larry’s ankle. He then ordered a special boot for Larry to wear on his right leg, while advising Larry stay off all heart meds and merely take Baby Aspirin. Corvel Insurance Company REFUSED to supply Larry with this boot that will keep him from having another Blood Clot, since we still don’t know what’s going on inside Larry’s ankle.
  1.  Larry has had two other orthopedic specialists here on the Western Slope look at his ankle; one was Dr. Hugh Brock at Grand River Health, in Rifle, Co. He said he was taking an X-ray, but the one that was displayed to Larry and myself had been downloaded from Google, while Dr. Brock claimed there was nothing wrong with Larry’s ankle. However this X-ray was not Larry’s X-ray; we could tell by the shape of the foot in it.  Interestingly, Dr. Hugh Brock is NOT on Corvel Insurance Company’s list either.
  1.  Dr. Steven Gammon, an orthopedic surgeon, from Grand Junction, Co. saw Larry. Unbeknownst to us he mentored under Dr. Kahn Farooqi, so he refused to honestly look into what was going on with Larry’s ankle, and told us as much, “I cannot evaluate Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s work, I mentored under him, he was a partner in this office, and I think he’s a fine doctor.”
  •  Meanwhile Larry starts going to Dr. Bing Lee an Acupuncturist in Grand Junction who’s been caring for Larry since March 2020, once a week.  He say’s Larry’s Blood Pressure is perfect and he doesn’t have high cholesterol. Bing Lee uses a natural form of reading Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and clogged arteries, concerning the reading of a pulse. Far more accurate than apparatuses’ created by man, like Blood Pressure Cuffs that can easily be manipulated.
  •  By Corvel Insurance Company’s insistence and threats Larry was forced to see Dr. Logan McDaneld in Grand Junction, Co. a Neurologist, who originally was referred to Larry by Dr. Lorah, however it soon became apparent, that Corvel Insurance Company took over this appointment as they sent out registered threatening letters to Larry, that he keep his appointment or else! Dr. McDaneld’s nurse took Larry’s Blood Pressure totally incorrectly, over his jacket sleeve. The only purpose in my mind, was to assure it be high. Dr. McDaneld then saw Larry, and didn’t have one clue about who he was or who he’d seen; had no clue as to who Dr. Mubarak was? Knew nothing about the three-hour scan Larry had performed on his leg, though he had all Larry’s medical records; just hadn’t read them apparently. He just ordered heart tests.  Told Larry he didn’t have a Blood Clot that caused his stroke; instead he is of the age for strokes so it’s more likely he has heart problems, and he could have easily had a Blood Clot and a stroke, at the same time, while neither had anything to do with the other.  Obviously since Dr. McDaneld had no background on Larry; had not read his medical records we had very little respect for his evaluation. Then Larry passed all the heart tests with flying colors.  Larry even had a very invasive camera go down to look at his heart by Dr. Muhammad Azzouz a heart surgeon, in Grand Junction, Co, who observed Larry’s heart was in fine health and no reason to address the channel (hole) in his heart that didn’t close up from birth, since it hasn’t caused an issue in over 63 years, but instead saved his life by allowing the Blood Clot to NOT lodge in his heart during the event. He displayed great common sense and intelligence; a breath of fresh air compared to most of the doctors Larry had seen. Still Dr. McDaneld put Larry on Lipitor, based on no recent tests to do so.  He claims there was a test a year earlier but we have never seen this test or heard about it until Dr. McDaneld claimed such; he doesn’t even mention the test he’d taken recently, after claiming Larry had clogged arteries, offers no medication for this, which we don’t believe Larry needs anyway; we haven’t seen these results either.  By the way this test Dr. McDaneld supposedly had taken proving Larry has plaque in his carotid artery, doesn’t mention the fifty plus year old accident Larry had, leaving the top of his spine calcified but thoroughly healed.  Whatever test they claim proves calcification from plaque in Larry’s carotid artery is not Larry’s test.  Additionally Larry asked the technician taking this scan of his neck if he could see any calcification; the technician said, “NO”. So Larry knew at that moment that the scan was a fraud. Larry and I are feeling Dr. McDaneld has merely been bribed to say Larry has all these issues to divert attention from the Blood Clot Larry experienced because of medical malpractice. And who puts a patient on risky medication claiming a year old test rather than use a recent test…again both tests we have never seen, likely because Grand River Health had an agenda as well; protect Dr. Kahn Farooqi at any cost. Then Dr. McDaneld takes Larry off of the medication he did haphazardly prescribe, OVERNIGHT, without ever seeing or talking to Larry. In fact just before Larry had his first and last phone conference with Dr. McDaneld, Larry was told by the nurse that she would make sure his Lipitor was re-prescribed as it should have been when Larry called it in, to them, (their rules) a month before, yet that was over a month ago now too,( a year now) and no prescription has been offered, while the prescription was for three refills?  It’s a Godsend that Larry had already decided NOT to take this drug because he knew he had been prescribed to do so without proper testing.  Had he it would have been ANOTHER WAY TO CAUSE A STROKE! Dr. McDaneld was supposed to help Larry use his limbs again using Botox injections;based on what Larry’s PT described, as he’s a Neurologist, but he did absolutely nothing; never broached the subject. And, everyone knows that being confined to a wheel chair for long periods of time, will eventually cause circulation and heart problems, so why wouldn’t Dr. McDaneld, using his so-called expertise, work at helping Larry get back on his feet? QUESTION OF THE DAY! What is the Physician’s code of ethics? “First do no harm”? Interestingly death comes to over 251,000 patients a year, in the US, from medical malpractice and errors, third only to Cancer and Heart Attacks. Google doesn’t mention out and out fake tests to protect colleagues and insurance companies. Gee should we guess why? Easier to call them all errors.
  •  Then Corvel Insurance Company sends Larry back down to Denver to see their Insurance doctor, Dr. Eric Hammerberg, who’s obviously suffering from Alzheimer’s or something like it.  The goal is to prove Larry is a heart disease victim, not a victim of medical malpractice during his ankle surgery and recovery. There was so much wrong with this appointment; surprising this man is still practicing, but not to overwhelm here, I’ll concentrate only on two outlandish occurrences. Dr. Hammerberg took Larry’s Blood Pressure with a wrist monitor placing it upside down on Larry’s wrist, and on the wrong side of his wrist, then failing to have Larry place his wrist over his heart as he is supposed to do when using this monitor, not that it would have recorded properly anyway, since the face of this monitor was on Larry’s upper wrist, and he takes this reading which comes out to something like 210/140?
  •  IF THIS WERE TRUE LARRY WOULD BE DEAD!
  •  Since this time, Dr. Hammerberg turns in a report about Larry claiming he walked four miles a day during his ankle recovery? This is a total fabrication and absolutely not true. Larry tried to walk this amount of miles, ONCE, based on Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s recommendation, but his ankle hurt so badly during such he never tried it again.
  •  It’s been OVER a year and a half since Larry’s accident, which was a serious ankle break, his Blood Pressure was never an issue until he broke his ankle, and during the recovery, yet he has never had a good orthopedic doctor really look at his ankle or explain where the SIX INCH FLOATING BONE FRAGMENT went?  We know his ankle threw a clot, most likely because he remained in a chair for much longer than most ankle patients, because of the Wound Vac, caused by taking the stitches out too soon, and we know Larry threw this clot the day after Amber Jo Graby, DBT his PT had him perform aggressive ankle sit ups on a box in spite of the fact Larry’s ankle hurt more than usual that day. We know trauma causes high Blood Pressure, so if someone has never had high Blood Pressure, other than the white coat syndrome, and then suddenly does overnight after they break their ankle, and it continues after surgery, we have to assume the high Blood Pressure comes from the ankle. Perhaps a forming clot? Not to mention I have never in my life seen so many doctors take Blood Pressure with so little care in doing so, as both Larry and I have seen through this, in my life. I came to the conclusion they were doing this on purpose assuming we wouldn’t know the difference. And why would this be happening? I believe it’s the Good Ol’ Boys Club covering up Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s mistakes, leading to medical malpractice and the insurance company’s great efforts to lessen their responsibility.
  •  There are a number of medical providers on the Corvel Insurance Company’s list that Larry never saw, and there are about four physicians Larry saw that aren’t on the list. The worst of all this is not one doctor, other than Dr. Omar Mubarak, and Bing Lee the Acupuncturist, whom we found, and Corvel Insurance Company has uncharacteristically paid for during a very short window of time, which will ultimately eliminate any good it has done so far, has done anything to help Larry get well, and it’s been, OVER, a year and a half.  Corvel Insurance Company loves sending Larry to doctors, and paying for them as well as taxi’s to get there, whose main objective is to take Blood Pressure readings incorrectly, as they try to prove Larry has pre-existing heart problems, but they refuse to pay for anything that will heal Larry. Again, had Corvel Insurance Company merely paid for a $50.00 a month gym membership BEFORE Larry had his Blood Clot and stroke, which they did not, he may never had experienced this life altering event.  Still, it has been proven Larry has no heart problems. However the antics of Corvel Insurance Company and their doctors have made Larry sicker, not better. Again, “First do no harm”? What Larry has been through with most of these doctors, is today found to be worse than his accident, which had it been handled correctly at the start Larry would likely have recovered. His life altering future is because of medical malpractice, cover-ups to protect the original medical malpractice, and Corvel Insurance Company who has no interest in Larry recovering or paying for this.
  •  Last but not least, Amber Jo Graby DPT canceled, fired, stopped; what ever you want to call it, all Larry’s PT appointments in the middle of August 2020, saying he needed a break? How is this? He still can’t walk and has made very little improvement; improvement based on extensive reading we have done, could have been possible, if Larry had been properly rehabilitated with the proper PT, which we have now realized Larry never received, and since he didn’t get it, when the event was fresh, it’s likely never going to happen.
  •  Added to this affidavit, now, but not sent to anyone. Larry’s technician at Dr. Law’s office scanned Larry’s neck since he was already scanning his leg, looking for a current Blood Clot, but it wasn’t ordered so not recorded in writing, but the technician said Larry had no blockages in his carotid artery. Another point not addressed above, is Larry is a furniture designer and builder, not just a delivery guy; who had the ability to earn upwards of $10,000 to $20,000 for a piece of furniture in as far back as the year 2000; he will likely never do this again. What’s more, since Larry started taking the Aspirin prescribed by Dr. Mubarak his blood pressure has normalized for someone who’s been in a chair for over a year and a half; 130/90, and he’s on no other medications at all, but this also suggests Larry’s ankle needs to be addressed. It seems like his ankle, which is extremely swollen, is constantly trying to have another Blood Clot. In retrospect, we believe Dr. Kahn Farooqi saw a Blood Clot forming in the X-ray his radiologist brought to him a month before Larry threw the Blood Clot, which resulted in a stroke. This is why he kept trying to send Larry elsewhere to address his Blood Pressure, such as the ER, because he wanted to but distance between himself, his surgery on Larry, and the errors he made while Larry was healing. He wanted to blame Larry’s high Blood Pressure on anything but his ankle. And this Blood Pressure issue, as far as the Insurance Company is concerned, has to be a pre-existing issue for Larry, in other words a problem he had before he broke his ankle, so they don’t have to pay for Larry’s destroyed life. This is why, for over a year and a half, these medical professionals, if one can call them this, spent all their time trying to prove Larry is a heart victim, even tried to kill him, instead of addressing he’s a victim of medical malpractice concerning his ankle.
  •  And here’s an interesting fact. I tried to get Larry into seeing someone with the Steadman Group up in Vail, Co; Dr. Lorah did as well, a number of times, but they refused to see Larry. Why you might ask? Well they gave all kinds of stupid excuses that amount to nothing! The most important is the Steadman Group and Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s group have been in negotiations to merge in business, and obviously they didn’t want to complicate this venture. Now as of September 2020 the merge is complete.
  •  No one without an agenda has seen Larry or looked very deeply at Larry’s ankle, and do I need to make a list of all the purposeful wrong ways these medical professionals took Larry’s Blood Pressure? I even know the approximate higher numbers each wrong procedure will create; most will add 50 or more points to a reading. As I said earlier Larry’s Blood Pressure today, is 130/90, which is excellent for a wheel chair bound person; HE TAKES NO MEDICATION AT ALL, except Aspirin, which was given by a doctor that informed himself, about Larry, honestly, Dr. Mubarak. He wanted to make sure Larry didn’t have another Blood Clot related to his ankle, before there was better understanding of what was going on in Larry’s  ankle, still unknown, so he prescribed this boot . Only Corvel Insurance Company has refused to supply this very important healing apparatus for Larry’s wellbeing.
  •  What’s extremely likely is that Larry’s ankle is still in trauma, and how would anyone know? He hasn’t seen an orthopedic doctor without an agenda.
  •  By the way, Larry never took the Lipitor, and it’s unfortunate there are few doctors one can trust anymore. All they seem to care about is money whether it comes from insurance when pushing drugs their patients don’t need, or briberies to protect a colleague from being held accountable for malpractice. Had Larry actually taken this drug, then been removed from taking it as Dr. McDaneld allowed to occur for whatever reason, Larry could have had a DRUG INDUCED STROKE!
  •  If Larry actually had a precondition of High Blood pressure he’d not heal well; instead Dr. Kahn Farooqi was shocked to see how well Larry had healed post op by only seven days, and this is why he removed Larry’s stitches. Of course his mistake, no matter how well someone’s healing, stitches shouldn’t be removed for at least fourteen days.  Everyone knows this, even non-medical people. But stupidly if a doctor gives an opinion we in the public are conditioned to believe them! Still Larry’s incisions, and there are three, looked totally healed, and this sure wouldn’t be if Larry were a victim of High Blood Pressure.
  •  Everyone with a psychology 101 class under their belts, knows what creating chaos is for, such as what most of these doctors, on Larry’s case, have done for the last year and a half. “Keep the right hand busy while the left hand is being tricked”!
  •  As of June 2020 Larry received a prescription from Dr. Lorah for a gym where Larry could exercise, helping him recover from paralysis. This time we didn’t wait for Corvel, who would likely take months to decide if they’d pay for the now thirty-dollar membership. The gym instead just sent the bill to Corvel. We are still waiting for Corvel to deny the claim as they have most everything else that will help Larry heal.
  •  Added to all this crime and corruption, in the medical society, you can not convince me that many of the tests done in labs at the hospitals these doctors have offices within don’t fabricate test results to suit their agenda. There was a time when there were no doctors’ offices in the hospital facility. Today almost all physicians have their offices in the hospital, while rarely do they show these test results they get to their patients; instead they merely tell them; they just say what they are, then write the results down in their own files; the results that fit their agenda. They obtain relationships with the lab personnel demanding results, with written orders, “Checking for Thyroid values” which is possibly a sign to the lab professions, to create the outcome that will make the most money for all the medical professionals involved; one to fit their agenda, while the patient has no way to prove or disprove the results of these tests; this procedure is a breeding ground for crimes. The dishonest medical personal make most of their money by prescribing medication, which eventually kills the patient much sooner than they would have died, and much, much sooner if the patient really wasn’t ill in the first place.  I believe this with all my heart, and have good reason, to form this opinion, from my own personal experience with doctors and my health. Medicine has become a criminal organization, while the insurance companies rely on this criminality to refrain from paying settlements. The medical world relies on illness, real or falsified, to prescribe medications not needed for the patient, but moneymakers for the physician and pharmaceutical corporations. And I’m not suggesting that all medical personal fit the description above, we have met and trusted some very good doctors in our lives, but I am suggesting that the margin of good doctors has narrowed and there’s a lot of fraud going on to protect the Insurance Companies from paying their clients. Additionally, the Internet and it’s capabilities makes it even easier to falsify test results with the famous copy and paste abilities.
  •  Oh and nothing easier than Blood Pressure to falsify. The numbers will change with a sneeze, so certainly when one takes a Blood Pressure reading incorrectly, creates chaos around a patient or applies a Blood Pressure monitor up side down, a patient’s readings will soar. And what’s the likelihood of ALL Larry’s doctors doing this over a whole year? You’re going to tell me none of the doctors know how to take Blood Pressure?
  •  Added to this in retrospect we believe Dr. Kahn Farooqi saw the forming of a Blood Clot in Larry’s ankle at Larry’s last appointment when the radiologist was motioning to Dr. Kahn Farooqi that he come see Larry’s latest X-ray. This is why all the chaos was created in the office, nurses summoned to take Blood Pressure readings in a big panic, creating an environment for Larry’s Blood Pressure to spike. Again what kind of doctor would send their patient to ER, driving on the freeway, if they really thought they were going to have a stroke, like now? An honest good doctor would ask the patient to sit down in a dark room in quiet, possibly give them something to lower their Blood Pressure. This is all truly insane!
  •  Now after my twenty plus pages of medical facts, and a year and a half of complete corruption which isn’t included in any of the medical records and if they are they barely touch what is truly going on here, which is a huge cover-up for medical malpractice, I must simply state the truth. Larry had ankle surgery involving a serious break, by a surgeon who committed malpractice. While Larry was still under Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s care, if you want to call it such, I believe he became aware of his malpractice, when he saw Larry’s last X-ray and scrambled to find anything he could to divert his malpractice to being Larry’s fault. This has continued for over a year and a half now, and yet had one good orthopedic doctor examined Larry’s ankle, with the real X-ray of his ankle, not a download of someone else’s ankle from Google, they would likely find Larry’s ankle still in great trauma. I feel like his life is in danger everyday, because we do not know what this Dr. Kahn Farooqi did to his ankle other than leaving a six inch unattached bone floating around inside, the premature removal of Larry’s stitches, the ignoring of Larry’s ankle remaining in trauma for weeks after surgery and ongoing for over a year and a half? And interestingly amongst all the other corrupt actions starting with the insurance company, likely bribing the doctors to ignore Larry’s ankle and instead focus on his Blood Pressure, which when high was both caused by purposely taking his Blood Pressure incorrectly, producing a high reading, and the trauma to Larry’s ankle still unaddressed. His leg and foot swell to the point where I’m concerned about another clot produced by his ankle. What’s more outrageous, is what was prescribed by Dr. Mubarak, the vascular surgeon, highly regarded in Denver and not part of the Good Ol’ Boys Club here on the Western Slope, who honestly evaluated what happened to Larry with a three hour scan of his blood vessels above his ankle, Corvel Insurance Company refuses to supply, as they refused to supply Larry with a gym membership, prescribed by Dr. Kahn Farooqi, for fifty dollars a month BEFORE LARRY HAD A BLOOD CLOT WHICH RESULTED IN A STROKE, which has destroyed the life Larry once knew.
  •  And this is what all this crime, corruption and medical malpractice has destroyed; bespokebydeborah.blogspot.com, the capability to earn easily up to $20,000.00 a piece. Larry was merely working temporarily as a delivery driver to bring in some extra funds, he’s actually a very creative and proficient furniture designer and builder…or he was. I can no longer do my fashion design, because I’m now a full time caretaker.
  •  Now today, October 5, 2020 Terry from Dr. Bing Lee’s office called to tell Larry that Corvel Insurance Company has reneged on Larry’s last six Acupuncture appointments; these are appointments Corvel already agreed to pay in writing. In other words, once again Corvel either refuses to pay for healing help for Larry right from the get go or stops the help just when it’s showing some positive changes in Larry’s health, and Dr. Bing Lee has done the most good in helping Larry heal. Now after two weeks of not seeing Dr. Bing Lee, Larry’s right ankle, the one above which he felt the Blood Clot shoot up his calf, has swollen beyond recognition as an ankle.
  •  Now November 1, 2020 I wake up with a thought that drives me straight to researching Wound Vac’s and the down side of them. Of course once again Larry and I are on our own; there’s no decent doctor around these parts I can call and get some truth, so I Google the Mayo Clinic blog and others. Come to find out that both suture issues and Wound Vac’s can cause Blood Clots. First of all using  a Wound Vac on ankles and feet is an unproven healing modem and usually used for patients with Diabetes. Larry doesn’t have Diabetes and never has had it.  It is a known fact Larry heals very quickly, but when his surgeon took his stitches out a whole seven days early, it caused Larry’s well healing wound to open up to the bone; about three by one inches in length and width. How deep? Well one could see the bone. The day before Larry’s wound opened up was the day Dr. Kahn Farooqi removed Larry’s stitches while sending him home without wrapping his ankle. He told Larry he was free to take a shower. However when Larry woke up the next morning his ankle incision had opened up to the extent mentioned above.  The idea of a Wound Vac amongst other remedies is to help clot blood; on the occasion this can result in a Blood Clot, while Amber Larry’s Physical Therapist ignored Larry’s constant complaints about ankle pain, as if it was normal to have such, and proceeded to have Larry complete ankle sit-ups, a very aggressive exercise, for the first time ever during Larry’s worst pain. The next day Larry had the Blood Clot travel up his calf.
  •  Dr. Lorah, Larry’s insurance doctor had come to the conclusion, over the past many months based on all the facts, that Larry had indeed had a Blood Clot that caused his stroke, and put this in writing to the insurance company, then he in the end, for his final report to the insurance company completely changed his opinion, using omissions, of facts, and manipulative misleading statements, causing Corvel Insurance Company to halt all Larry’s care, his twice monthly pay check, and refusing to pay for his wheelchair…now a year and a half after Larry needed one. It is interesting that in Dr. Lorah’s final evaluation, in writing, he backtracks other opinions, in writing; he has given in the past. He has conviently disregarded Larry’s seven day heart monitor, that showed zero events, and the Vascular Specialist Dr. Mubarak’s finding in Larry’s right leg, using a three hour ultrasound, proving a Blood Clot.
  •  The bottom line here is simple in our view. From the day Larry was admitted to the Grand River Heath with an obvious Blood Clot, this small town medical community has been protecting Dr. Kahn Farooqi and his reputation at the expense of Larry’s life, and the Good Ol’ Boys Club has been helping each other divert the truth about what happened to Larry using whatever means works best…heart problems using medical tests that don’t even belong to Larry. Meanwhile Larry has never had the proper care since Dr. Kahn Farooqi took his stitches out easily a week too early; in some cases with an ankle, the stitches should remain up to 21 days. Unbelievable! God only knows as well as Larry and myself what Larry really needs yet after a year and a half he still doesn’t have this…he just gets more cover-up reports, while no one has ever looked at his ankle! The tests Larry has had that we actually watched take place, came out to prove a Blood Clot above Larry’s broken ankle, while another test was a seven day heart monitor proving Larry had no heart events, and still another viewing of his heart with a scope. He passed or uncovered proof indicating a Blood Clot in his ankle, but any tests we weren’t apparently present for Larry was found to have high cholesterol, plaque in his arteries, and high Blood Pressure because he has heart disease?  Humm… my question again, why haven’t any of these doctors looked at Larry’s ankle, or digested the fact that his Blood Pressure was up the day he came to the hospital with his ankle broken in three places while dislocated as well. This is normal while in trauma. Over the next week his Blood Pressure went down to almost normal until Dr. Kahn Farooqi took Larry’s stitches out AFTER ONLY SEVEN or EIGHT DAYS, Larry’s wound opened up almost immediately, within twenty four hours, and his Blood Pressure went up again. Why wouldn’t it? Larry was in trauma again with a THREE INCH LONG; ONE INCH WIDE, BONE DEEP GASH in his ankle. And the trauma never left him between the Wound Vac, ankle pain, malpractice involving application the Wound Vac, Dr. Kahn Farooqi’s emotional abuse and improper use of a Blood Pressure monitor, Dr. Schiaberger’s ill prescribed heart medications, obviously meant to kill Larry; 200 Mil of Metoprolol? This Mil isn’t prescribed to any human being we have learned.  And it continues with Care Center abuse, for two months, more doctors obviously bribed by the Insurance Company to take Larry’s Blood Pressure incorrectly so it would remain high.
  •  And by the way, if I haven’t mentioned this earlier, Larry and I bought a good Blood Pressure monitor back in February 2020, once we could afford one, to monitor his BP daily. Interestingly it was pretty good; then once he was totally removed from any heart and BP medications, his BP went down even further to 130/90. Not bad for someone living in a wheel chair for a year and a half.
  •  To add insult to injury, Larry’s case manager from Corvel canceled his taxi the evening of the 14th of December, while never telling us; if we hadn’t enquired as to why we hadn’t received direction to what time the taxi would arrive December 15th we’d still we waiting on the curb. The reason the case manager canceled is still a mystery to us, while she did this without mentioning it to even the law firm representing Corvel Insurance Company.
  • Oh and look what I found written by well-respected doctors, with no agenda as far as Larry is concerned.
  • Sharp edges or bone fragments must be covered or eliminated from the wound area, to prevent them from puncturing blood vessels or organs before the application of V.A.C. ® Therapy.

  • When used within recommendations, complications resulting from VAC are infrequent.4 As the vacuum system device is more frequently adapted to multiple problems, however, the complication rate increases, probably due to co-morbidity and mortality.11 Localized superficial skin irritation is the most common complication reported in the literature.36 Further complications involve pain, infection, bleeding, and fluid depletion.4,12,35-37 Rare, severe complications, such as toxic shock syndrome, anaerobic sepsis, or thrombosis have been described as well.38-39(Also see M. Leijnen, MD, MSc, and colleagues, unpublished data, 2007.)

Remember earlier in this brochure of corruption in Larry’s care that Dr. Kahn Farooqi sent Larry away from his last appointment with him, once the Wound Vac was removed and latest X-ray taken, telling Larry that the six inch bone floating around in his ankle was unimportant.  He then proceeded to create chaos in the office screaming at two nurses to take Larry’s BP; it was high of course, and then he told Larry he was going to have a stroke. This was I believe June 27, 2019.  August 16, 2019 Larry had the Blood Clot, exactly 12 hours after his appointment with Amber who had Larry doing sit-ups with his ankle for the very first time in spite of the pain Larry told her he was in still, and had been for months, while neither Dr. Kahn Farooqi or Amber seemed to be concerned. Everyone taking Larry’s BP purposely incorrectly on top of his white coat syndrome,(which I believe eventually while never considering that Larry’s ankle was in trauma and still is today. This causes BP hikes too, amidst the white coat syndrome, and doctors bribed to take BP incorrectly on purpose; now add Larry in a wheel chair for two years and gaining easily thirty pounds, while NO ONE has yet to examine Larry’s ankle, and the insurance company has taken all Larry’s exercise and alternative care, (Acupuncture) away from him since August 2020.

Last but not least, the technician who took Larry’s scan told Larry he saw no calcification in his neck, which is proof he wasn’t really taking the scan, except on the request to find what Dr. McDaneld asked him to find by fraud.

48) Then Larry gets an appointment with John S. Hughes the DIME doctor, who in meeting with Larry, who recognizes in words that Larry’s heart monitor being clean was an indicator he didn’t have high BP or heart problems; he tells Larry that the Wound Vac was on too long, which obviously caused the Blood Clot. He also agrees with Larry that the Insurance doctors lie to prevent having to pay. Even though Larry was told the DIME doctor is not allowed to take any tests he goes ahead and takes Larry’s BP anyway, OVER HIS LONG SLEEVE T~SHIRT; the t-shirt a proven fact to add 50 extra points to a BP reading. Then this doctor turns around and lies, in his report, by omission of what he said in words and leaving out major proof to Larry’s heart health. Added to this he quotes Larry’s now high BP, in his report, which he purposely took wrong to create the extra 50 points. Everyone knows to take BP readings three times with five-minute intervals, for accuracy, especially when taking BP on someone with the White Coat Syndrome, and on bare skin of course. This Dr. John S. Hughes is NOT impartial but again one of the Good ol’ Boys Club.

Are blood pressure measurement mistakes making you chronically ill?

By American Heart Association News

It’s a familiar scenario: You find yourself at the doctor’s office, sitting on the edge of an exam table with your feet dangling inches above the floor. The nurse or medical assistant who seconds ago instructed you to sit now asks you questions about the reason for your visit – all while taking your blood pressure.

That measurement, however, could come back dangerously high – and flat wrong.

Together, the dangling feet, the unsupported back, even the chit chat are more than enough to throw off a blood pressure reading and classify a patient as having high blood pressure when they don’t.

And if that measurement was taken with the blood pressure cuff on top of a shirt sleeve instead of a bare arm? It could push a patient’s reading high enough to qualify for medication that might not be needed.

Until recently, high blood pressure, or hypertension, was defined by any measurements with 140 or higher as the top number, and 90 or greater as the bottom.

Last November, the American Heart Association updated its high blood pressure guidelines and established a new threshold for diagnosing high blood pressure at 130/80. That change of 10 mmHg (millimeters of mercury) was enough to classify nearly half of all Americans as having high blood pressure.

It also has served as a reminder about the importance of getting blood pressure measured properly.

Yet, for a procedure performed millions of times every day across the country, very few medical professionals – even nurses and doctors – nail the routine correctly, said Dr. Michael Rakotz, a family physician and the vice president of health outcomes for the American Medical Association

An ongoing AMA campaign has tried to raise awareness about how to correct the most common errors people make when measuring blood pressure, whether at the doctor’s office or at home.

“Every time we go out and conduct blood pressure measurement trainings, people tell us afterward that they’ve been doing it wrong for years,” Rakotz said.

Posters tacked inside exam rooms and vital stations are aimed just as much at patients as they are at clinical staff because “once the patients learn how their blood pressure should be measured, they aren’t going to let anybody measure it incorrectly again,” he said.

When getting blood pressure measured, both feet need to rest on the ground or a stool. The back needs to be supported, as well as the arm, which should be propped at heart level. Many times, these procedures fail to be observed.

Other common mistakes include:

  • Failing to rest before a measurement. Sitting quietly for about five minutes can help relax the body.
  • Placing a cuff over clothing. Depending on the thickness of the sleeve, clothing can add up to 50 mmHg to a reading. The blood pressure cuff needs to be placed on a bare arm – so roll up your sleeve or come wearing short sleeves.
  • Using the wrong sized cuff. Squeezing an arm into a cuff that’s too small can add anywhere between 2 mmHg and 10 mmHg to a measurement.
  • Engaging in conversation. Avoid the small talk. Even active listening can add 10 mmHg.

With just one or two simple errors in measurement techniques, a patient could suddenly find himself classified as having high blood pressure, said Dr. Raymond Townsend, a nephrologist.

“Suddenly, they have a disease that they didn’t have yesterday,” said Townsend, director of the hypertension program at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. “When you label someone as having hypertension, you actually have given them a chronic disease label. That can be a downer in our outlook on life so getting it right is important.”

Townsend worked with Rakotz on a study where they implemented a “blood pressure check challenge” to nearly 160 medical students during the 2015 AMA annual meeting.

Only one student performed all 11  measurement elements correctly.

“It didn’t matter if you were a guy or a gal, whether you were a first-year medical student or fourth-year, whether you were going into internal medicine or obstetrics. They just didn’t know what they were doing,” Townsend said. “Out of 11 possible things to do right, the average they got was four.”

Townsend knows that doctors have a lot of information to balance in their minds when seeing patients.

“But of all the things that we do in clinical medicine, what is the single most important difference we can make to help someone live longer and live free of target organ damage? There’s only one answer,” he said. “It’s to measure and treat blood pressure correctly.”

If you have questions or comments about this story, please email  [email protected]

As of May 2021 Larry’s Blood Pressure was taken by his Primary Care Physician, Dr. Heath Cotter at Grand River Health; it’s 127/74; almost perfect, and he’s now been in a wheelchair for over two years. Yet Larry was in his doctor’s office again, last week, with trauma to his body; a horrible outbreak on his skin from allergies keeping him up all night for days and itching constantly. His Blood Pressure was escalated.  On top of this the nurse took it while chatting away and Larry’s arms were not supported properly. The nurse said she’d take it again later, but never showed up to do so. However the doctor totally understood Larry’s Blood Pressure, but then again he’s not part of the Insurance Doctor’s team, and honestly evaluates a spike in BP as common when there’s trauma.

We have also now learned that Dr. Kahn Farooqi should have put Larry on a blood thinner when he ended up on a Wound Vac. He did not. He didn’t send Larry home from surgery with anything other than pain pills. Also as of June 1, 2021 we learned that even Dr. Mubarak belongs to the “Good o’ Boys Club” now, as he basically reneged on what he originally claimed about Larry. And, not sure how he could do this when he removed nothing of what he originally reported in writing, just added mention of fake tests other doctors supposedly took, which I doubt seriously if he ever saw the tests.

This rendition of Larry’s and my experiences, which I’ve been writing, was sent onto Larry’s Workman Comp attorney’s, Boesen Law, a couple of times, over many months, as I added new experiences. They refused to even acknowledge that they received them. Also know that with every wrong Blood Pressure reading these doctors took, I would ask them nicely to take it again or comment on the way they took Larry’s Blood Pressure readings. These doctors and nurses became indignant that I would even think such a thing and it would cause real problems in the office. I eventually had no choice but to shut up, and record what Larry and I were experiencing in writing.

We are convinced that from the minute Aspen Valley Hospital knew Larry was there on Workman Comp, all integrity, virtue, ethics, decency, and humanity left the case and collusion took over to hide the truth.

49) Now after a review of Larry’s case by a doctor/attorney in California, who requested that I obtain the EMT, doctors and nurses notes from Larry’s case  , we have new information, as of  July 19, 2021. Up until this request I assumed these notes would be part of the medical records, but they are not. First of all the EMT lied about Larry’s condition when they arrived to pick Larry up. In short they claimed Larry had been stroking out all day, and it started when he woke up. They also claimed to have done the Cincinnati Stroke Test on Larry; they did not. Then in their report they never mentioned anything I said, as if I weren’t even there. Of course what I told them is what happened to Larry, which they obviously ignored? This behavior continued when we arrived at the hospital. I never left Larry’s side for a week, when he was in the hospital, sleeping in a hospital bed next to him; yet there’s not one mention I was there, in the doctors and nurses notes, or had any information for them about what happened to Larry? How do doctors, nurses or EMT NOT ask questions of the spouse/partner about their loved one after they have had a stroke? I told them lots, and asked many questions, but they obviously ignored me. I doubt this was a mistake.
